As colors run together into brownand fall and diethe leaves crack coldbeneath my condensated breath.Dew runs together into leavesand then they freezeas frosted slivershanging just below my window ledge.I wrap a scarf around my neckand burst intothe clear crisp airthat isn't cold enough for winter yet.A stinging comes into my nose asI stand alongthe sidewalkwatching and waiting for autumn's end.hopes are beautiful in absolute hopelessness
